After checking into your nice rooms, with refreshing rest and then meet members for Langtang Valley & Gosainkunda Trek. Guide will brief providing information regarding the trek, local lodge on route, culture and sightseeing tour around Kathmandu heritage sites. Evening enjoy a group welcome dinner in a typical Nepali restaurants includes folk cultural program as entertainment along with dinner.
A free day in Kathmandu, allowing member to get familiarized with local cultures, as well for trek preparations. On this day enjoy guided sightseeing tour at places of interest, our guide takes you around historical and cultural places listed in World Heritage Sites. After a wonderful day visiting places of great historical and cultural wonders, then back to hotel final preparation for Langtang Valley & Gosainkunda Trekking.
Morning having early breakfast, starting for the adventure to Langtang Valley a drive either in a car, coach or taking regular bus to Dhunche and Syabrubesi towards north of Kathmandu valley. Enjoy the exciting ride overlooking beautiful landscapes of rolling green hills and valleys, as drive continues past farm villages and towns. Includes lovely views of snow clad peaks towards north-west, as drive follows on winding uphill then reaching at Dhunche, a large town and headquarter of Rasuwa district. From here starts Langtang National Park and the home of Tamang the indigenous an old tribes of Central Himalaya follows Buddhism religion and culture. After a short refreshing break at Dhunche, drive continues downhill on winding road to Syabrubesi village for overnight stop.
After a pleasant first overnight in a mountain village, having breakfast start the trek heading for a climb towards farm areas. As walk enters into dense cool forest lined with tall rhododendron and pine trees within a river gorge. Then reaching a small clearing amidst beautiful forest at a place called Lama Hotel for overnight stop. Here the lodges are simple nice and cozy with good food menu to enjoy the dinner.
Second day walk starts after a good breakfast, heading north following a forested trail uphill close above Langtang Khola / stream. As climb continues for some hours to Ghoretabela for lunch stop, a nice small area within tall tree lines, with a check post the Nepalese Army act as Park wardens. From here afternoon few hours walks on gradual up then leaving the forest on reaching a wide open area where Langtang village located. The village is slowly coming back to normal life, after a great earthquake of 2015, the destroyed most of the houses and took many life of the villagers, as well of some foreign trekkers. Here one can witness the memorial of people who lost their life, check into a nice simple lodge for overnight stop.
Today a short day walk for lunch and overnight at Kyanjin our final stopover and the highest point of the adventure. Morning from Lama Hotel walk leads to short climb, and then on wide open valley following few prayer wall called Mani. From here onwards tall tree lines gives away for short Burberry, juniper bushes as walk reaches at a moderate size nice settlement of Kyanjin Gompa, a place with a small monastery. Located a wide scenic Langtang valley enclosed by array of snowmountains of Langtang Himal range. After lunch enjoy the afternoon at leisure to explore around Kyanjin and witness the local culture of Tamang the native of Langtang Himal.
After a continues walk for three days, a lovely place for rest day for acclimatization and to enjoy local hike up to its scenic view points, either on top Tserko or Kyanjin-Ri at above 4,400 m high for excellent vista of surrounding snow-mountains. A super panorama facing Ganesh Himal (7,405 m), Langtang Lirung (7,234 m), Ghengu Liru (Langtang- II 6,571 m) and Kimshun (6,745 m) with Shalbachum (6,918 m), Chimsedang, Naya-Kanga / Ganja Chuli (5,846 m), and far towards Gangchempo, Tilman's Fluted Peak.
The vista covers as far to Jugal Himal in the east with Dorje Lakpa (6,980 m), includes array of peaks on Tibetan side, Langtang Himal forms a great barrier and a border of Nepal and Tibet / China. After a breathtaking views from the high hills back to Kyanjin with free afternoon at leisure.
Morning enjoy the last glorious views of surrounding giant snow peaks, having breakfast, return journey back to Lama Hotel back into lush green forest. Walk follows on the same path downhill past Langtang village, and Ghoretabela to overnight stop at Lama Hotel, after a long day walk from Kyanjin.
From Lama Hotel, today’s walk will be a quite a change as walk follows on the same route for an hour on reaching a small place at River Side with few small shops and huts, serving as inns. After a refreshing break walk leads to a small settlement of Bamboo with some lodges and shops, possible lunch stop before heading for the climb to Thulo Syabru. After lunch walk uphill past an old landslide section, and then reaching a high ridge where Thulo Syabru village located. An interesting village for overnight stop as well to explore the local culture, where houses lined close together with a monastery above the village.
Morning walk past the monastery, and climb begins into beautiful dense forest above the village of Thulo Syabru. Walk past few farm areas facing views of Ganesh and Manaslu Himal in the north-west. Climb continues then reaching a high ridge, and then on pleasant level and winding path within lovely forest of tall rhododendron and pine trees as walk follows to the end of the days walks on reaching Sing Gompa for overnight stop, this small village also called Chandanbari. Afternoon relax and browse around witness a small cheese factory, the Sing Gompa name, due to its old monastery on top of the village.
After a pleasant and nice overnight stop on a friendly cozy lodge, having breakfast walk leads to short steep climb, on the way to our second main highlight destinations holy Gosainkunda, where ‘kund’ means a pond but people normally considers as a lake where surface cover 13. 8 hector or 34 acres with depth of 25.5 m. The holiest pilgrimage around high Himalayas for Hindu followers where thousands of devotees pay homage once a year in the auspicious time of August month as per Hindu calendar. The lake believed created by Lord Shiva after consuming a deadly poison to save the world, with his weapon Trident hit the ground hard, where water sprang to quench his thirst and diluting the poison. At present an alpine fresh water pond enclosed between rocky high mountains and cliffs. After climb to high Laurabinaya hill then reaching on this holy sport at Gosainkunda, a place with few simple lodge and a temple of Shivaby the Lake shore. After checking into a room with time for stroll around the pond remains frozen during winter and early spring.
From Gosainkunda our return journey, takes you back to Kathmandu on a high route. Morning walk leads on the lake shore, and then steep uphill climb past few smaller icy ponds of Surja and Saraswati Kund towards the high Gosainkund Pass and Laurabinaya-La. The highest spot of the adventure, and then long descend to Phedi at the bottom of Gosainkund Pass. A nice resting place with few smaller tea shops, and shelters for travelers, a possible stop for lunch. Afternoon walk on gradual winding path through forest of juniper, rhododendron and pine trees with few short ups then reaching at Ghopte Odar for overnight stop. A small settlement on the road side with some serving as simple lodge and Tea-house. Ghopte Odar the word for an overhanging rock caves situated close by.
After Ghopte, morning walk reaches to Helambu area, the home of another hill tribes the Hyalmo people similar to Sherpa and Tamang people. morning walk on gradual trail and then climb to Thadepati hill top for lunch facing grand views of beautiful scenery of rolling hills and snow clad peaks. From Thadepati afternoon walk leads to Mangeghot, and then into dense forest downhill to Kutumsang for overnight halt in a nice simple lodge.
From Kutumsang, after a previous tough long day walk from Gosainkunda having breakfast start the journey on easy winding path. Walk follows through several villages and farm land encountering few ups and downs to Gul Bhanjyang for lunch stop. A nice traditional Tamang village, afternoon walk leads on a high ridge past Pati-Bhanjyang village, then short climb to Chisapani for overnight stop. Chisapani a scenic hill top with nice lodges for trekkers, located north of Kathmandu valley rim, this lovely spot offers stunning sunrise and sunsets over chain of Himalayan peaks.
An early wake up to catch the morning glory of striking sunrise that lights the Snow Mountain range, enjoy breakfast facing array of peaks. Last day walk of the adventure, starts with downhill through cool shade of forest to Burlung farm village. After a short refreshing break, downhill continues reaching at beautiful spot of Sundarijal, the main drinking water source of Kathmandu city. A lovely place within nice forest, from here short descend to the town of Sundarijal, situated North-East of Kathmandu valley. From here an hour drive through busy streets of famous Bouddhanath, then reaching back to your hotel. Rest of the afternoon free at leisure for individual activities and shopping souvenirs.
Last day in Kathmandu, depart from the hotel as per your international flight time our staff and guide will transfer you for the short drive to the airport for final departure from Nepal, after a great wonderful experience with memorable short adventure to Langtang Valley & Gosainkund Trekking.
