On arrival at Kathmandu, Nepal international airport, our guide and staff receives you with warm welcome, and then a short drive to your hotel located in the hub of Kathmandu city. After checking into your nice rooms, with refreshing rest and then meet members for Tamang Heritage Trail Trek. Guide will brief providing information regarding the trek, local lodge on route, culture and sightseeing tour around Kathmandu heritage sites. Evening enjoy a group welcome dinner in a typical Nepali restaurants includes folk cultural program as entertainment along with dinner.
A free day in Kathmandu, allowing members to get familiarized with local cultures, as well for trek preparations. On this day enjoy a guided sightseeing tour at places of interest, our guide takes you around historical and cultural places listed in World Heritage Sites. After a wonderful day visiting places of great historical and cultural wonders, then back to hotel final preparation for Tamang Heritage Trail Trekking.
Morning having early breakfast, starting for the adventure to Langtang Valley a drive either in a car, coach or taking regular bus to Dhunche and Syabrubesi towards north of Kathmandu valley. Enjoy the exciting ride overlooking beautiful landscapes of rolling green hills and valleys, as drive continues past farm villages and towns. Includes lovely views of snow clad peaks towards north-west, as drive follows on winding uphill then reaching at Dhunche, a large town and headquarter of Rasuwa district. From here starts Langtang National Park and the home of Tamang the indigenous an old tribes of Central Himalaya follows Buddhism religion and culture. After a short refreshing break at Dhunche, drive continues downhill on winding road to Syabrubesi for first overnight stop at Tamang village.
Start the day walk after a good breakfast, as walk follows on old walking route, avoiding the motorable road. Walk on high trails through Goljung farm village overlooking beautiful scenery, then reaching at Gatlang located on a hillside among terraced fields a large village of Tamang community.
On entering the village greeted with warm traditional welcome by the villagers with Buddhist scarf called Khada, and the walk into a small neat cottage made for overnight home-stay by village community. Afternoon with time to interact with cheerful native and walk around the village facing views of snow-capped peaks.
Enjoy the free day on this lovely Gatlang village, visiting around its special cultural and historical landmarks. Tour of Tamang Buddhist monastery and the striking Parvati-Kunda Lake at Gatlang. Overlooking grand views of surrounding beautiful landscapes of green hills and snow-capped peaks. Rest of the day at leisure and observe the simple traditional farm life of the native.
After a wonderful time at Gatlang, morning walk of few hours to Tatopani village famous for its natural hot-spring. Enjoy the pleasant walk on gradual uphill past spread-out farm areas and hamlets then reaching at Tatopani, a smaller village with nice guest-house cottage serving as Home-Stay. Having good lunch enjoy rest of the afternoon on a refreshing hot pool, a relaxing spot. Hundreds of local people throng this place for a bathe and a dip on the pool considered as a cure for many diseases and remedy for muscles ache and pain. Enjoy the afternoon marveling the views of Langtang and Ganesh Himal peaks and visiting around this small farm village.
Today’s walk the longest day walk to Thuman from Tatopani crossing a high ridge of Nagethali at 3, 165 m, morning trek leads close on route of Nepal and Tibet border near Bimthang village. A pleasant walk on gradual uphill path visiting Bimthang, a nice farm village, and then leaving the main trail climb to the top of Nagethali Bhanjyang. The hilltop offers grand panorama of Kerung frontier of Nepal and Tibet, includes view of Langtang, Ganesh Himal and Sanjen Himalayan range. The scenic top of Nagethali is famous as meditation spot for the local monks and priests. After a grand views of surrounding landscapes and snow peaks, downhill to Thuman for overnight stop, a lovely cultural village renowned for its Shamanic performances and striking view of Langtang.
Another long day walk from Thuman to Briddim village, morning walk leads through Lingling small farm areas. As trek leads on winding gradual trail through lovely forest of tall rhododendron, oaks and pine tree lines with occasional view of snow peaks, then reaching at nice village at Briddim for overnight in the comfort of nice traditional hut, serves as a Home-Stay for visitors.
At Briddim observe exciting culture of Tamang, and experience the village farm life, furthermore enjoy a cultural show performed by local community. As well enjoy the homestay in the harmony of Tamang cultural heritage, on this Tibetan Buddhist village in the bosom of Langtang Himal. The culture and tradition of Briddim resemble similar to Tibetan villages.
Our last day walk of this wonderful journey, from Briddim where higher trail leads to popular trek to Langtang valley, while our route heads downhill to Syabrubesi village for final overnight halt around the land of Tamang tribe.
Walk leads through cool forest, following the trail past few small shops and tea-house, and then on gradual path to Syabrubesi and transfer into a nice lodge.
Depart from the lodge at Syabrubesi village, after a good breakfast and then an interesting drive reaches Kathmandu, as journey follows on winding up to Dhunche town. From here on downhill to warmer farm areas and rural villages and town of Trisuli Bazaar, a possible lunch stop. Afternoon drive of few hours downhill then enter the city area of Kathmandu, and then transfer to your hotel for last overnight in Kathmandu and Nepal. Rest of the afternoon free at leisure for individual activities and shopping souvenirs.
Last day in Kathmandu, depart from the hotel as per your international flight time our staff and guide will transfer you for short drive to the airport for final departure from Nepal, after a great wonderful experience with memorable short adventure on Tamang Heritage Trail Trekking.
